This book is so very dear to my heart. Some of you may remember it in its previous version, which I wrote in the year 2000. It's changed a lot since then, with added scenes and more depth, although it is the same basic story as before. I believe this was the first story with original characters I ever wrote that I was brave enough to share with other readers, and the outpouring of love and encouragement I received over it is largely responsible for my courage in continuing to write original fiction in later years.
